2024
FOGO ISLAND
"Building Economic Momentum for Resilient Communities"
The 2024 edition was co-hosted by the Centre for Social Enterprise and Shorefast. , 47 community champions, ecosystem partners, and researchers gathered to discuss the way forward to build economic momentum for resilient community economies. You can read the report here.

NORRIS POINT
"Place-based solutions in a challenged world: the role of social enterprises and communities."
The 2022 edition was hosted by the Old Cottage Hospital.

2021
VIRTUAL CHECK IN
"Reimagining Place in a Post-COVID World: the Role of Social Enterprise for Strengthening Communities."
Although we had to keep the meeting online, this event provided an excellent opportunity for community leaders from various areas of Newfoundland and Labrador to share valuable lessons learned during the pandemic, promoting a solution-oriented discussion. You can read the report here.


2020
VIRTUAL CHECK IN
"Rural Resilience as Best Practice: Newfoundland and Labrador's Social Enterprises' Reaction to the Covid-19 Pandemic".
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on face-to-face interactions, we had to postpone our in-person event. Instead, we hosted a virtual check in with community leaders from across the province. You can read the report here.
2019
PETTY HARBOUR
"Shifting rural narratives".
The workshop in Petty Harbour was organized in partnership with Fishing for Success. The event focused on strategies that community leaders can employ to tell new narratives about rural communities in Newfoundland and Labrador.


2018
FOGO ISLAND
"Building stronger communities."
The PLACE Dialogues was born on Fogo Island, in partnership with Shorefast. During the first workshop, we learned the value of bringing community leaders together to promote a solution-oriented discussion on the challenges and opportunities of rural NL.
